West Reaches East
West Reaches East is the sister practice of East Reaches West. It was developed from the eastern concept of "seva" which means selfless service. While we seek and celebrate healing for ourselves, it is also important to remember those who do not have opportunities to heal in the same way that we do.
West Reaches East is in the process of collaborating with the Sambhavi School for the physically and mentally challenged in Dwarka, outside of Delhi. This school has successfully operated for four years and has now received government funding to pay for their building. This building, has space to operate a small clinic to take care of the health needs of the children from the school, and also to serve poor children and their families with homeopathic and allopathic treatments, acupressure, craniosacral therapy, Reiki, yoga, and other manual manipulative therapies such as Reflexology, and acupressure.
Over the next two years West Reaches East will:
Assemble 15 practitioners from nearby locations who can donate one day of their time per month to the clinic.
Raise funds to hire a homeopath to stay at the clinic three days a week
Get furniture and beds and supplies for the clinic like sheets, homeopathic medicine, etc for the clinic.
Collect sponsorships from donors to pay for medicines for the clinic and give families food when malnourishment poses hazards, and blankets when overexposure poses hazards
Assemble a group of practitioners from the west to visit India and include in their stay a week, using their skills to donate treatments to patients
Five to ten year plans include starting an orphanage and school
Thank you for supporting West Reaches East. Please send us your email address so that we can keep you posted regarding program development.
